Krista Hill, Ph.D. Molecular Biology - Registered Patent Agent
Dr. Hill is a Registered Patent Agent who specializes in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the life sciences, plant sciences, biotechnology and biofuels technologies in the U.S. and foreign countries, as well as obtaining registrations for U.S. Plant Variety Protection (PVP) and foreign Plant Breederís Rights (PBR). Dr. Hill also assists with acquiring U.S. and foreign trademark registrations, and preparation and review of licenses and agreements.

Dr. Hill received a Bachelor of Science with distinction in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Colorado at Denver, and a Ph.D. in Biophysics and Molecular Genetics from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Hill has over 7 years of experience in research and teaching in molecular biology, biochemistry, ecology, microbiology and immunology. During her undergraduate studies, Dr. Hill performed research in Yellowstone National Park investigating the regeneration of the forest following the massive forest fires of 1988. Dr. Hillís thesis work examined steroid receptor interactions with co-regulators, and the subsequent effects on three-dimensional protein structure and gene transcription. Prior to joining our firm, Dr. Hill was a postdoctoral researcher in an immunology/microbiology laboratory at National Jewish Health in Colorado, where her work focused on host-pathogen interactions.

Dr. Hill's original research and ideas have been published in peer reviewed journals, and she has presented at multiple national and international conferences. Dr. Hill has attended ASTA and CIOPORA conferences, and has published articles and given talks to clients on worldwide intellectual property for plants.
